Alderlee has been an extremely special first home for us, and it could have potentially been a forever home if we weren't moving abroad. We have loved the views in every season, the houses' charm, the warmth of its walls in the winter and the privacy of the garden in the summer, the friendliness of the neighbours and the comfort of its position. We've been working in Glasgow's West End and having the M8 and the train under our house has been very comfortable. This was our first home, where our first son spent his first years and we felt blessed with it, especially during the lockdown.
We're leaving Scotland with many amazing memories, many of which are related to Alderlee: playing the guitar and drinking prosecco in the spring, waiting for the Waverley to pass by, going to Kilmacolm for the market, enjoying the sunset in Gourock, having a walk in the old railway track behind our home, taking our son to Birkmyre Park's playground, spotting foxes and squirrels, going to the bonfires in the area on Guy Fawkes, spending long nights of work with the Clyde always under our eyes - we could go on forever.
